Is your pool losing water?
Do the bucket test. It takes one day and no tools.
- Fill a bucketFill a bucket with pool water to about 5 cm (2 in) from the top. Set it on a pool step so the water inside matches the pool level.
- Mark both levelsPut a piece of tape on the bucket at the water level inside. Mark the pool level on the outside of the bucket too.
- Wait 24 hoursDo not swim and do not add water. Leave the bucket where it is.
- Compare the dropEvaporation lowers both levels equally. If the pool dropped more than the bucket, you may have a leak.
